“Yarra Valley pioneers, the de Pury family are renowned for wines of finesse and elegance that epitomise the finest the region can produce. Produced from some of the oldest vines in the valley, these are long-lived wines made in tiny quantities. Yeringberg makes wines from the low-yielding vines re-established on the heart of what was one of the most famous vineyards of the nineteenth century. In the riper years, the red wines have a velvety generosity of flavour which is rarely encountered, yet never lose varietal character, while the Yeringberg White takes students of history back to Yeringberg's fame in the nineteenth century.” James Halliday
#1 Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2022 Vintage - The Real Review
"Deep ruby with a touch of purple in the light. Blackberry, cigarbox and dried thyme aromatics. Medium in weight but the black fruited core has wonderful intensity to it. Layers upon layers of complexity ebb and flow across the palate: iodine, dusty earth, dried herbs and cedar wood notes are all in the mix with nothing feeling out of place. Tannins are certainly there, but well integrated so that they remain a background sensation, only coming to the fore at the very long finish. A wonderfully elegant cabernet that will delight for many years to come." 97pts | Stuart Knox | The Real Review
"A blend of 63/16/10/7/4% cabernet sauvignon/merlot/petit verdot/malbec/cabernet franc. That's two great back-to-back vintages for this Yarra Valley and Australian classic. Bright crimson purple. A wonderful bouquet of perfectly ripened black cherries, blackcurrants, cedar (from the already integrated oak) and lavender. With its core of dark fruits and impeccably balanced, fully ripe yet silky tannins, this complex and harmonious wine is destined to join the ranks of the very best Yeringbergs." 98pts | Phillip Rich | Halliday Wine Companion
