During his first vintage in Margaret River in 1979, Mike Peterkin introduced two wine styles which have become the mainstay of winemaking in the district: the first Australian semillon sauvignon blanc blend and the first to introduce a touch of cabernet franc and malbec to wines.
This Chardonnay is, and has always been, a super high grade old school style.
"Light yellow hue with a honeyed, buttery croissant bouquet that shows chardonnay generosity, including malolactic character. The palate is rich and full, rounded and ample, showing the full gamut of Burgundian chardonnay characters.
