Alex Head specialises in Grenache and this wine is produced from a 160-year-old vineyard, one of the oldest in the world. ,
We do know of a handful of other producers sourcing grapes from the same site and they all charge $100+ per bottle. Needless to say.....BARGAIN!
"Juicy, purple, ripe raspberry, brown spices. Gummy feel, saucy and spicy, tannin has some grit, and finish is jubey and fairly long. Feels a little different from the usual offerings from Head, in terms of Grenache, though that’s perhaps a function of the vintage." 93pts | Gary Walsh | WineFront
