"Grown on the family farm near the village of Eldorado on decomposed red granite buckshot soil. This narrow seam of soil has been washed down from the nearby Beechworth hills by the Reedy Creek over millions of years. Eldorado shares many climatic similarities with Sicily, the homeland of the Nero d’Avola grape.
"It has been 13 years since we decided that Nero d’Avola would be a good fit for our unique soil and climate at Eldorado. Along the way through a combination of collaboration with other pioneers of the variety in Australia and those who have had generations of experience with the variety in its native Sicily we have learnt a lot about growing this variety well."
