Deviation Road Altair Brut Rose Sparkling NV
Wines taste best when shared with friends!
To be honest we purchased this wine to play the role of our house Sparkling rose (umm....literally....it's in the wine fridge in the garage). Turns out it sells pretty well on the shelf as well.
A more powerful style that is fruit forward when compared the examples from Champagne. Sure a more simple example but then again this wine is $38, not $170! Along with Ashton Hills Salmon the leader in the local $30 - $40 sparkling rose bracket. 2020 is the base vintage comprising 83% of the wine.
"A blend of pinot noir and chardonnay grown at Lenswood and Piccadilly Valley, 80% from '17. Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, largely fermented in tank, a small percentage of pinot made as a red wine. Delicious rose, with small red fruits/berries, and a supple mouthfeel.
