Ansted & Osicka Cabernet Sauvignon 2025

Sadly this is the final vintage of the higly regarded Tobias Ansted (Tellurian) and Paul Osicka colab which sources fruit from Bendigo's most acclaimed vineyard. The Balgownie vineyard was planted in 1970 by Stuart Anderson but has now been sold for housing development.
"A joint venture between Tobias Ansted and Simon Osicka made from a 1970s planted block of cabernet sauvignon. Sadly, it’s the last vintage as the land has been sold and the vineyard is to be removed. Full ruby hue. Blackberry and dry herb aromas; dark fruits on entry, medium bodied but carrying intensity to the fruit weight. As it drives across the palate there’s a savoury lift, salted beef, dry earth and ferrous notes build a strong contrast and character to the back end.
