Rockford 'Rod & Spur' Shiraz Cabernet 2021
Wines taste best when shared with friends!
When I first started my wine geek journey (~1998) getting your hands on Rockford was quite the holy grail. Production was limited, supply was via cellar-door and the number of independant growers focusing on single vineyards (& by association terroir) could be counted on one hand.
Fast forward 25 years the landscape has changed with a smorgasboard of micro offerings across the Barossa but that doesn't change the fact Rockford remains in hot demand, despite the much increased competition from like-minded producers. Thankfully we, as a retailer, can now access small parcels (very small parcels!) through the wholesale supply chain. Wish this was the case 20 years ago!
