"A 6ha lake in a gully ravaged by bushfires gave the name. In '98, Mike Peterkin of nearby Pierro purchased the vineyard. The vineyard, adjacent to Moss Wood, is planted to cabernet sauvignon, merlot, shiraz, semillon, sauvignon blanc and chardonnay. Wines are available for tasting at the Pierro cellar door."
