Without any shadow of a doubt one of the greatest wineries in Australia and (probably) WA's greatest winery. In the past 2 decades has further underpinned its standing by achieving full certification for Organics and Biodynamics. In 2020 owner/winemaker Vanya Cullen was named 'Winemaker of the Year' by James Halliday and the winery was named 'Best in Australia' by Huon Hooke.
"Intensely deep purple colour in the glass. Mulberry, anise, nori and cured-meat aromatics. Powerful and rich black fruits on entry, drawn from that core we see smoked-meats, dark spices and earthy-mineral tones as well. The tannins are firm, almost blocky, but somehow their intensity just brings more sense of presence to this wine. It goes very long and sits deep at the finish.
