Denton View Hill, is an isolated slope in the middle of the Yarra Valley on the north side of the Yarra River. The vineyard lies over a granite ‘plug’ from the late Devonian Age (370 million years ago), sitting above the surrounding sandstones and siltstones of the Valley. The Denton wines and Shed series are made by Luke Lambert, one of the leading winemakers in Victoria.
The Denton Pinot Noir block sits at the very top of our North Eastern slope, and sees the softest morning light and is shielded from the hot afternoon sun. The planting density here is 1.3m x 0.8m and this high density spacing always gives us more power and concentration while maintaining the lightness and elegance of the vineyard.
