Tired of seeing vineyards owned by others but that he had been working organically himself, sold from under him, in 2015 Ben Gould took the plunge and purchased an established 20 hectare vineyard at Quindalup in Margaret River. He wasted no time in converting the previously conventional viticulture to organic and biodynamic, while also grafting over portions of established rootstock to varieties such as Aligot? (a Margaret River first) and a Brunello clone of Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio. The vineyard received its Organic Certification in 2017.

Governo is a largely forgotten traditional method of winemaking called "Governo all' Uso Toscano" which entails inducing a second fermentation by adding a small percentage of driedgrapes. For this wine, Gould blends a portion of Sauvignon from both his Quindalup and Wilyabrup vineyards. One portion of grapes are hand-picked early and air-dried, before fermenting wild on skins. The remaining grapes are basket pressed and wild-fermented in old French oak.
