The wines of TERRE à TERRE are grown across a single vineyard over Wrattonbully’s ancient limestone geology covered in Terra Rossa topsoil.
This vineyard, called Crayères Vineyard, (the word in Champagne used for cave) spans across 8-hectares consisting of Sauvignon Blanc (2.67ha), Cabernet Sauvignon (3ha), Cabernet Franc (1ha) and Shiraz (1.07ha).
The Crayères Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2023 is the ninth vintage of the Cabernet Franc dominant wines. The 2023 vintage was cool and wet, and the long tome between veraison and harvest allowed the well exposed bunches to ripen to perfection. 8% Shiraz was added to the final blend to lift the middle palate.
The 2023 vintage is a classic example of the variety, with a subtly perfumed nose and a ripe red berry fruit palate with a hint of tobacco spice.
