Mount Avoca, Australia’s most highly awarded organic winery, was established in 1970. The cool climate organic certified vineyard produces small quantities of wonderful, intensely flavoured fruit that is hand-crafted into extraordinary wines featuring great varietal expression and reg ional distinction.
Honouring the original philosophy of founders John and Arda Barry, "100% Grown, Made & Bottled" the Estate wines are now also 100% Organic. Meticulously managed, the Australian Certified Organic fruit is harvested and crushed minutes later in the adjacent winery. Hand-crafted, matured and bottled on-site, the entire production process undergoes a second certification to achieve ACO accreditation.
