"Originally planted in '69, the (now) Fallen Giants Vineyard had once been part of Mount Langi Ghiran, before it was bought by the late Trevor Mast. Following his death, it was purchased by siblings Aaron and Rebecca Drummond and renamed Fallen Giants in '13. The name takes its meaning from the local Djab Wurrung and Jardwadjali peoples and references the creation of Halls Gap. The Drummonds grew up on the Mornington Peninsula; Aaron went on to work for the Rathbone Wine Group, while Rebecca headed into the global financial market trade. "Deep ruby-red colour. Lifted nose of mulberry, white pepper and river stone aromas. Medium to full bodied, slippery and gliding with red and purple fruits filling the core and many layers of white pepper, beef stock and anise.
