Established in 1990 on a stunning north-facing site overlooking the Derwent River, Stefano Lubiana Wines is Tasmania’s first certified biodynamic vineyard and a benchmark for cool-climate purity.

Steve and Monique Lubiana have built their 28-hectare Granton estate around a belief in environmental harmony and minimal intervention - practices that bring vitality and clarity to their Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and sparkling wines.

The Chardonnay is 100% estate- grown, single-vineyard, certified biodynamic fruit from a mix of two terriors: grey gravelly loams over clay and red loam over gravel. Wild yeast fermented, then matured for 8-10 months in new & old French oak barrels with a small portion in stainless steel. It's the lightest & freshest of the three Chardonnay styles Stefano Lubiana makes. It's one of the most refined Chardonnays you'll find in a “drink-now” style.

"Beautiful chardonnay. Salty. Honey and white peach, apple, curry leaves and vanilla pod. Soft, flavoursome and neat at once. Love the seaspray spiciness aspect of both the palate and especially on the finish. Flavour and character in one. – and with the length to match." 94pts | Campbell Mattinson | Winefront
