A superstar 'colab' of sorts; Robert Hill-Smith (Yalumba) joining forces with Clare winemaker extraordinaire, Jeffrey Grosset, to create a new Eden Valley Riesling.

Personally I think this is the most under-rated Riesling in Australia and have had a great track record cellaring out to 10 - 12 years.

"If you need further prodding that riesling is worthy of a place in your cellar, you can always procure a museum release wine such as this stunning 2016 from mesh to seal the deal. That initial limey parry-and-thrust focus and velocity has subdued somewhat. The wine takes on notes of oatmeal, beeswax, dried honey and perhaps some soft spice notes that mesh beautifully (see what I did there?) with the existing lime, lemon, grapefruit and blossom characters inherent in the wine. Dry and savoury, with great carry on the finish. We should all be drinking more aged riesling." 95pts | Dave Brooks | Halliday Wine Companion
