Brilliant pale lemon in colour. Very youthful citrus/honeydew aromas overlay delicate mineral hints. Oak and malolactic characters are very much in the background, lees-ageing has made its usual creamy/almond contribution, and subtle savoury aromas add further complexity. The palate is finely structured in a medium-bodied style. The fruit flavours tend towards lemon and apple, supported by fresh, slightly racy acidity. Oak contributes almost subliminal flavours and a hint of structural firmness, while the creaminess from yeast-lees contact provides a seamless texture. Promising length and complexity, combined with the wine's great freshness, suggest fine ageing potential.
