This wine is a tribute to the Perseverance of these remarkable old vines having made the voyage by sea as rootlings from France to Glenrowan back in the late 1800’s. Surviving the ravages of time they valiantly prevail today dry grown and exposed to natures elements truly reflecting a unique piece of Australian wine history.
"Old vines tell a story, some more than others. These were planted in the 1890s and are dry grown, reflecting their bit of Glenrowan soil and history beautifully. A decant and the aromas dance in sweet earth, cassis, black cherry, plum, savoury notes, spices and dried herbs. Brings subtle florals to the palate, lifting the flavours, widening the experience, hand in hand with a seamless integration of tannins.
